Beckham to present 2018 bid book

David Beckham will deliver England’s Bid Book for the FIFA World Cup™ 2018/2022 to FIFA President Sepp Blatter in Zurich on Friday 14th May.

Beckham will lead the England 2018 delegation at FIFA House where all countries competing for the FIFA World Cup for 2018 and 2022 are scheduled to hand over the documents which outline the vision and technical details of the bids.

Beckham last met Blatter in Cape Town at the FIFA World Cup™ 2010 draw in December last year.

Football Association and England 2018 Chairman David Triesman said: “It is fantastic news that David’s schedule has enabled him to present and head our bid in Zurich. “It is entirely appropriate that he does so as our bid is about football and the passion for it in our country. Nobody represents that better than David. He is a fantastic footballer and global role model.”

The full line-up for England’s five person official delegation will be confirmed later this week.
